The Beckham’s Butler Has Quit
David Beckham’s butler has quit, raising concerns that he might spill closely guarded secrets about the England soccer captain’s private life.
Two British newspapers, The News of the World and The People, said John Giles-Larkin, 29, left Beckham’s employ on Friday after two years, apparently fed up with the demands of his pop singer wife Victoria.
Giles-Larkin’s wife Nikki, also 29, who also worked for the Beckhams, resigned as well, the two tabloids said.
“Victoria is now paranoid that John will talk to the press,” the News of the World quoted a source as saying.
The People said the Giles-Larkins — who once worked for the late Queen Mother — “managed the household, cooked, cleaned and arranged parties” at the Beckhams’ mansion in Hertfordshire.
Beckham, who also plays for Real Madrid, was stung earlier this year when former lovers Rebecca Loos and Sarah Marbeck went public in The News of the World about their flings with the footballer.
